Anti-CAA stir: SP student leader arrested along with 8 others, sent to jail in Lucknow.

Eight people including a student leader of the Samajwadi Party have been arrested and sent to jail in connection with the anti-CAA protests.
Police told India Today TV that out of the eight arrested, a Delhi-based man who played a crucial role in Shaheen Bagh protest, have been held in Lucknow.
“We got report from our local intelligence that a person named Faizan Ilahi who lives in Jamianagar area of Delhi and played an important role in organising the Shaheen Bagh protest was constantly in touch with the women protesters gathered at the Clocktower to create unrest in the area. He has been arrested along with SP student wing leader Pooja Shukla and six other people in connection with the anti CAA protest,” Vikas Chandra Tripathi, Additional DCP of the Lucknow police said.
They have been booked and sent to jail under sections related to disobedience to order promulgated by public servant, joining in unlawful assembly, deliberate act intended to outrage religious feelings of any class, using criminal force to any person being a public servant, criminal amendment act, taking possession of any property causing danger, obstruction or injury to any person of the Indian Penal Code, Additional DCP Tripathi said.
Pooja Shukla along with few male volunteers were held from the Clocktower protest site on Saturday afternoon in Lucknow according to the women protesters. They have accused the police of misbehaving with them and using abusive language against them.
