Helpline for Men in India

Save Indian Family (SIF), an organisation working for the welfare of men, has launched an all-India helpline: 08882498498.

P. Veerendra, member of SIF, Karnataka, told presspersons here on Saturday that the number of men committing suicide was increasing owing to the misuse of dowry and rape laws.

He claimed the present laws were in favour of women and in a majority of cases, men had been subjected to harassment and false allegations. “Of the 50 counsellors extending their services across the country, 13 will offer their services in Karnataka,” he said.
