Hyderabad Encounter: Telangana High Court to Hear Case, Bodies of Accused to be Preserved till 8 PM Today.

Hyderabad, December 9: Telangana High Court will hear the Telangana Encounter case today. The Court had earlier directed that bodies of the four accused (in rape and murder of woman veterinarian), who were killed in the encounter on December 6, be preserved by the State till 8:00 pm on December 9.

The Telangana government on Sunday constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the killing of four accused in the gang-rape and murder of a woman veterinarian.  According to a Hindu report,  the investigation team would identify the witnesses and record their statements, including those of police personnel, involved in the death of the accused. Hyderabad Encounter: Justice Should Not Be Misunderstood As Revenge, Says CJI Sharad Arvind Bobde.

The notification read that the SIT will conduct the investigation into the death of — Mohammed Arif, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen and Ch. Chennakeshavulu — and will recover and preserve the material evidence related to their death.”

A complaint was filed on Sunday, against Cyberabad police saying that ‘the encounter which was carried out by police on December 6 against the four accused who were involved in veterinary doctor’s rape and murder case was fake’.

Police on Friday claimed that the accused attacked the police personnel and two of them even snatched weapons and opened fire, forcing the police to retaliate. Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said that all four died in retaliatory fire.

Soon celebrations erupted in parts of Telangana after the killing of four accused in the gangrape and murder of Hyderabad veterinarian. The 27-year-old veterinarian was sexually assaulted and killed near Outer Ring Road. Her body was set on fire and was found under a culvert near Shadnagar town, about 25 km from Shamshabad.
