Jharkhand: 1.6 Lakh Government Job Posts Vacant, Recruitment Dates To Be Announced Soon

Ranchi, 4 January 2021: Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Staff Selection Commission are gearing up for pending competitive examinations. The dates for the exams can be announced in January-February in the state. 1.6 lakh government including 25 thousand teachers’ post is vacant, which have been instructed to fill up as soon as possible. There are hundreds of seats vacant in police and other departments too.

The primary preparations for various examinations are in the final stages and the dates will be announced as soon as the preparations are completed. The government is also giving importance to self-employment. In a meeting with banks recently, explicit instruction was given from the government that more and more loans should be made available to the people at the local level.

At present, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission’s full emphasis is on completing the examinations pending years. The JPSC has first fixed the probable dates for the eight examinations. These include Assistant Town Planner, Assistant Director, and Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer, Assistant Engineer, Scientific Officer, Joint Civil Services Backlog Preliminary Examination-2017, and Accounts Officer. Some of these exams will be written tests, while others will be interviewed.

Preparations for several other competitive examinations will be completed in March next year, and the dates of these examinations will be announced soon. These include the appointment of lecturers and other posts in Polytechnic and BIT Sidari, appointment to various posts in Birsa Agricultural University, etc. Moreover, procedures for the canceled examination can also resume.

On the other hand, several cases are stuck in the High court and supreme court regarding the examination. While planning policy is being changed at the court’s direction, reservation in government jobs has also been challenged. Thus, the process for government jobs cannot be started without resolving these issues.
