Jharkhand High Court’s Justice Anant Bijay Singh resigns, appointed as NCLAT Judicial Member.

Justice Anant Bijay Singh has tendered his resignation from his post as a judge of the Jharkhand High Court. A notification intimating the same was issued by the Central government last week.

Following his resignation, Justice Singh has now been appointed as a judicial member of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), as per the information available on the NCLAT website.

The notification regarding his resignation, dated January 24, 2020 states:

Shri Justice Anant Bijay Singh has tendered his resignation from office of Judge, Jharkhand High Court, in pursuance of proviso (a) to clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution, with effect from 20th January, 2020.
