A national law Olympiad is being organized for the first time in city by ILS Law College and Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).
While the competition which starts on January 8, will be open only for students pursuing five-year and three-year LLB courses from Indian colleges/universities, the organizers said that after assessing the response to this maiden olympiad, it will be opened up to include all law subjects and also probably to any student who has an interest in the subject.
The enrolment fee is Rs500 and the first two screening exams will be online. The semi-final and final tests will be held in the city on November 24 and 25.
“The online rounds will be held on January 8 and 29. The students can take this exam from home or on any computer with internet connection and webcam. We have designed a technology that will not enable students to cheat,” said Uday Panchor, general manager, MKCL.
Professor Sanjay Jain said,”In the semi-final round, 10 students will be shortlisted for the finals where five students will compete with each other. The test questions will also have constitutional quiz, treasure hunt, cross word puzzle etc.”
