Rajasthan High Court seeks report on REET paper leak

Rajasthan High Court has ordered the Secondary Education Board to submit the report in the paper leak episode of the REET Examination-2017 Level 2 on May 22, if any investigation is done in the case. The single bench of Justice VS Siradhana gave this order on the petition filed by Kamlesh Kumar Meena. During the hearing on the petition, it was said on behalf of the affected candidates that only the petitioner has mentioned about the paper leak in the entire state. Neither an FIR has been lodged, nor any complaints have been registered in the matter.
NCLT’s bench to open in Jaipur soon
On behalf of the Central Government, it was said in the Rajasthan High Court that a notification has been issued in connection with the opening of the bench of National Company Law in the city. The Tribunal will commence soon. Taking note of the statement given by the Central Government, the court has ordered the Central and State Government along with the Company Law Board to submit detailed answer by July 4. A division bench of Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog and Justice GR Moolchandani gave this order while hearing the PIL filed by Rajasthan Bar Federation.
Life imprisonment to mother-daughter
The special court of Women Harassment and Dowry Cases No. 2 has sentenced the mother-in-law Saira Bano and sister-in-law Hina Bano of the deceased to life imprisonment for killing her by burning her. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 30,000 on the convicts.
Bail plea of businessman rejected
The special court of Economic Offences in the city has rejected the bail application of a businessman Pankaj Jain, who was arrested for tax evasion of Rs. 1 core 36 lakh on May 8 by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).
